Membership of pro familia

Have you got to know us and were satisfied with us? Would you like to support something in the social sector without becoming active yourself? Would you like what has been achieved in terms of equal rights, diversity of ways of life and self-determination not to be taken back? Would you like to get involved with pro familia for a while in the voluntary board of directors, and bring in your interests in terms of family planning, sexual education and sexual counseling? Then become a member (you can leave again any time) or donate. We need you!

pro familia Mainz has 110 members. Members are a very important backing for pro familia – on the one hand due to the reliable financial security of the programs, but above all as support in society. In particular the topics of family planning, sexuality, sexual education and abortion are still extremely controversial topics and attract many opponents. They vehemently refuse self-determination of women, men and couples regarding their sexuality and family planning, and want to get back to conservative and religious rules by any means possible.

It is very important to us that the programs of pro familia are available to everyone – especially people who are in a poor financial position, or have a handicap, or who have language and cultural barriers, where more time and effort is required to overcome these, than is usually provided for in our healthcare system. Many people seeking advice can not afford a cost contribution. Therefore, we rely on your support through donations and membership fees.

The membership fee is € 52 per year (concession € 26). You can offset the membership fee against your tax.
