Pregnancy and birth

If you are pregnant, we can support you with information and practical help.

Becoming mothers and fathers is a time of intensive feelings, new experiences and future planning. Many questions arise:

What do I need to apply for where and when? What financial aid am I entitled to?
How will I cope as a single parent or very young mother or young father?
Will we cope with the new demands as parents? Will there be enough time for each other?

We inform you about legal rights and offers of help before and after birth (maternity leave, parental leave, parent and child benefit, child support, unemployment benefit II, custody and access). We inform you what you can apply for and which bodies are responsible for this.

If you fulfill the requirements, we apply for financial support for you from the mother and child foundation or the “Familie-in-Not” (Family in crisis) foundation.

We advise you, if you have questions or problems during pregnancy or after the birth. If e.g.

You are worried during pregnancy how you will manage everything,
You cannot be happy about the baby and are often sad or depressed,
You don’t have any maternal feelings after the birth,
You have the feeling that everything is getting too much for you,
You are worried whether your child is developing well,
Your partnership has come into a crisis.
